This is just a report of how ATitD runs on my system...

The game runs fine, but very slowly (graphics). This is I believe due to me having an intel i8xx videocard (on a laptop, so no upgrading). Yes, it is using 3D hardware rendering and all that, I also allocated 64 MB for VRAM. The rest of my system is as follows:

Pentium M 1.5 Ghz (earlier verison, 1MB cache)
512 MB RAM
ethernet connection (LAN speeds)

So if you're wondering if you can run ATitD on a laptop with an i180 series graphics chip, yeah it's possible, but it's not really that enjoyable :D.

PS: this isn't my main machine, that one can handle the game just fine.

Try to disable "advanced terrain" in the graphic options. I get a very low framerate if i enable it.

Just wondering what distro you used?

The Intel i810 isnt a very fast video chipset however there are a few things that may help... 1) turn down the video settings 2) make sure that you have PLENTY of RAM (ESPECIALLY with using integrated video chipsets like the i810) I suggest at least 512MB of RAM with the i810 however more will give you better performance. Make sure that you arent running any other memory or CPU pigs when the client is running. (SOMETIMES, but not usually this can be firefox)
