Don't know if it is already a known bug, or even if it is linux specific, but something has been wrong with the lighting of grass for about a week. From a certain viewing angle, grass appears black. The attached screenshot (downscaled) shows the problem.
It was introduced with a client update about two weeks ago.

besides a picture... a description of the hardware is useful... (I say that since it doenst do it on my card) Oh, and is the water exceptionally dark?...
I find it interesting since the black grass was a driver bug on the nvidia drivers on the mac. I cant reproduce it on the GF3. and the GF4 should be using the same EXACT rendering path . (Assuming that that SS was from the last machine you logged in with)
Hmm, played around with it... Tell me if this duplicates your issue.... At certain camera angles and distances all the grass turns black, however, a minor rotation clears back to normal...
If so, dangit, dont just post screenshots decribe WTF is going on. I wasted over half an hour just trying to reproduce it...

Sorry for the insufficient information. The machine I've seen that on has a GF4/4200, nvidia drivers 61.11.
The grass turns completly black at certain camera angles. A minor movement does not turn it green again, to do that you have to move the camera out of the 'critical space'.
It may be that it only happens at night, though I'm not absolutly sure about that. How time of day lighting is set does not seem to matter. I havn't noticed any anomalies of the water except that the textures are sometimes broken if there is another window obscuring part of the atitd client, and that problem is much older.

Ah, I think that one is fixed... Bogus change left from me debugging the mac port... I cant do it now, so next client rev will have it fixed... (trying to iron out 1-2 other things before pushing a new client out)
